The Firebird

After looking into the two Russian based children stories, The Tin Soldier by Noel Grieg and The Firebird by Neil Duffield we created an inspired devised performance piece for children from the local schools aged 6-8. We focused on the trials of friendship and between father and son based loosely on The Firebird. With a budget of £450 and a team of 15 we created a resourced, dramatic performance free for young people. My main roles to play in this piece was collaborative design, LX and sound. The aim of this project was to introduce young audiences to theatre in new interesting ways.

Medea

Medea by Euripides is an ancient Greek tragedy that questions the very foundations of what we think of as right and right.

In this project I design for the RSC Swan theatre to stage a classic with a cold concrete twist. Set is a broken concrete greek temple the eyes of god and man surve of judge over the story of revenge.

Without losing the cassical context that furthers the audience understanding, I conbind it with a mordern court. All law comes crumbling as pilars fall and blood flows.
